Keep it off the share
A browser tab cannot hide itself from a full-desktop share. Anyone watching a shared screen sees what is on it. So put the prompter where the share is not: on a second device, like a phone or tablet propped under your camera, or on a second screen you do not share. On one screen, share a single window or tab, never the whole desktop. Lozenge for Mac hides its own window from every screen share, and that is the difference.
What it reads
- Lozenge scripts. A .lzprompter file saved on a Mac, or a session .json.
- Markdown and plain text. A line starting with # or ##, or a line that is just ---, starts a new section. A file with neither is one section.
- Markup. **Bold** is bold. Notes after // or between /* and */ are shown small and quiet, for you. [pause 2s], [breath], and [cue: name] are set apart.
The same rules and the same keys as the Mac app, so a script written here opens there unchanged.
Controls
- Space, or a tap on the words: play and pause.
- Comma and period, or [ and ]: slower and faster. Up and Down nudge the page.
- Left and Right: the previous and next section. Home: back to the top.
- M: mirror, for a beam-splitter glass. F: full screen. Esc: back. A- and A+ set the text size.
What stays here
Your script is read in this page and held in its memory. It is never uploaded and never saved, so close the tab and it is gone. Keep your own copy of the file.
